Wordful Wednesday

This year, I am saying hasta! to Wordless and going Wordful with Angie over at Seven Clown Circus. Be sure to check her out! Fab photos and a great read too.

This stormy shot of Manhattan was taken in July, 2005 across the Hudson in Hoboken's Sinatra Park with an old Nikon 35mm film (gasp!) camera borrowed from my father. No filters or Photoshop... this is exactly how the sky looked at about 3:00 in the afternoon. This shot was taken the same day.

Sometimes I think the "old school" cameras capture moments better than the new fangled digital ones. Or maybe I'm just lazy and don't use my digital camera's features correctly...

You are your New York....if you love it so much why don't you just go live there? Apparently you have never experienced the brown, brown river that is the Illinois River. Nor have you experienced the bottleneck traffic trying to get across the bridge that spans the stupid brown, brown river that is the Illinois River. Did I mention the Illinois River stinks? Did I mention that we have an Asian Carp infestation that has killed pretty much all fishlife? Survival of the fittest, eh Darwin? Where the hell am I going with this? Alright, night night.

Awesome photo. And yes, I've been doing Wordful for about a month now, and like it much, much better than trying to figure out what the heck some of the Wordless photos were all about. Love Angie for starting this meme, I do!!!!

My Wordful is an update on Winston's Ladybug stool. Come on over if you can, I so love visitors and their comments!!! Happy day to you.

That is a fabulous image. It's worthy of being framed and hung on a wall, for sure.

Two great shots on the same day. I wonder if anyone found the earlier one. Sometimes nothing but black and white can catch the feeling. Great job. Shirley

That's an awesome shot. I haven't heard of Wordful Wednesday; I might actually participate in that one since I can't shut up.

I had to revert to SLR lately because Junior, um, "played" with my digital camera. I miss it.
