It's Cinnamon & Honey's new blog meme about all things inspirational. Here's your chance to share something that's currently meaningful to you... a song, a video, a poem, a book, a movie, a person... or anything that's gotten into your head and you can't get rid of. If it's important, I want to know all about it!
Can you believe it's already November? Soon enough the holidays will be here and then we'll be celebrating the new year. Something happens to time once summer ends... it's like someone hits a giant fast-forward button and the days fly by. So for today's Muse, I'm sharing a song that echoes some of the sentimentality that can come around this time of year.
Doesn't her voice remind you a little of Sarah McLachlan? Which is probably why I like this slow, melancholy song. While the video paints Miranda a little model-glam with the faux fur, short skirts and mile-high boots, her rootsy singer-songwriter feel still comes right through. And I can imagine her playing to a small club in ripped jeans with an acoustic perched on a stool. One of my favorite type of shows.
So what's inspiring you lately?

Yes, I agree with you. She does sound like Sarah. What a lovely voice and song.
She does sound somewhat like Sarah McLachlan. I like the song you chose.
Today I am inspired by the miracle of a new life content in it's curent environment and not so ready to enter a new world. No wonder they come out squawking. They will adjust as we all have. The joy lies in watching them grow, adapt and change to beome full members of our sometimes wacky world. Wish them well. Shirley
Lately, I seem to be trapped in showtunes. The melody keeps soundtracking my days! (Kind of annoying when it takes everything to stop yourself from singing aloud..)
Wow, she's got a beautiful voice. She looks like Taylor Swift to me....
No, I can't believe it's November...where does the time go?
Jamie :)
I like her. I'll have to down load this.
FINALLY
I've been trying to listen/watch this video and something always comes up. Finally, no interruptions. (Actually Lily - my 8 yr.old - thought this was Taylor Swift ;-> )
I can't believe it's November already. I agree about the fast-forward button. Both of my girl's have birthday's in December (bad, or NO, planning on our parts ;-> ) and we have birthday & Christmas Lists laying around the house. I'm raising little consumers.
oh - I like this!!! soothing voice - and I love her clothes (hee hee)
